Lawmakers from Illinois split along party lines Thursday as a Republican-authored tax bill was approved by the U.S. House. U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam, a Wheaton Republican, joined six other House Republicans from Illinois in support of the measure, known as The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Roskam chairs the House Tax Policy Subcommittee.
